The second last day of the year is indeed not a very good day for me.
Today I went out with my cousins to watch Avatar 3D (yes, my second time watching Avatar, though the first time is not 3D. I have a feeling that my 3rd time is coming up with my parents). Unfortunately for me, I did not spot any differences whatsoever in viewing, imaging, OR the level of excitement. It felt like I paid Rm 18 just to watch a 2D show. The differences between 2D and 3D is not much, so I think that it's not really worth watching it in 3D. I should have expected it, but for some reasons, even after some disappointing effects from 3D movies, the interest to watch it is still there!
After that, we went ahead and watch Alvin and the Chipmunks 2. I agree with Mae that the first version is nicer. After all, what are the odds of a superstar getting his head dunked in the toilet???!! and that was one of the scenes in there. I mean, come on!! what are the chances?? though I really like the Chipettes. They are CUTE!! hehe....
somewhere through out Avatar, I realized that my phone dropped out from my pocket. Gave me a huge scare and I finally found it stuck in between the handrest. I was glad that I found it and left it at that. BUT guess what?? while I was searching for my phone, my carkeys dropped too and I had no idea until I wanted to leave the mall.
Since I was suppose to drop my cousins off, latest by 6.30 and it was already 6.00 when I wanted to leave, I panicked. Really panicked. I called my mom, called my bro, got a trashing on the phone and he finally agreed to bring the spare key like 45 mins later. but I just dont have the time. So I did what my cousin suggested.
Go and ask if GSC found my keys.
and lo and behold! they did! Thank GOD! though the attached keychain from LV was missing. I could barely recognise the key without the keychain.
Then it was dropping my cousins home. I only have 20 mins and the journey would usually take max 10 minutes but since it wasn't my day, there was a traffic jam!! I arrived at their place 10 minutes late from their 'curfew' and I hope they didn't get grounded or anything since it's my fault.
Took my car for a wash with Mel, then headed out for dinner. Dinner was great. However, by the end of the dinner, both of us needed the toilet badly and since we didn't want to stink up the place, we thought of heading home since it's 3 min drive. But once again we were stuck in traffic JAM. Imagine this, 2 toilet desperate gals stuck in a traffic jam makes the car ride a mouthful car ride with all the expletive words.
so yeah, overall, the day is not a very fine one. I feel like sleeping, but I still have chores to do. ZZZzz not to mention a bath which will definately keep me awake for hours still.

On the mend
Sprained toe joint or gout? that is the question.
seriously. I say it's sprained toe joint while my mom is convinced that it's gout because I have urine acid. But I still say it's sprained toe joint cos all the symptoms are just exactly the same and I have the real bad habit to pull my toe at every single direction whenever I play computer. And when I say pull, I really pull it HARD. so it's really no surprising if it finally sprained. I knew that habit of mine was gonna to get me into trouble one day, but do I stop? Nope! and I have the feeling that it won't stop anytime soon~~
What I was talking about was the pain at my toe that I was complaining about in the past 2 posts. Getting allergic to the med that was issued by the first doc, I didn't want to get back to him again. He seemed unsure of his own treatment when he issued me 5 different medication just for that. And that got me into trouble.
Today, after presentation, which was a torture for me because I could barely stand on my feet and I had to walk to the car and back since my mom didn't want to drive in, we went back to the leng zai doctor that first stabbed me with the tetanus injection. The moment I limped into his office, he was like, is it the rusty nail you stepped on? (I said nail cos screw just sounded tooooo wrong. lol)
I was like, erm no no... it's the other leg. and he seriously started poking and prodding HARD. I can't move my toe and he went pulling it in different directions. OMG! it hurts like crazy!!! it was funny cos he stab at the spot and when I said it hurts, he stab on it again asking the same question! lolz. but I honestly think that he felt more professional than the first doc that just went touch touch and declared the prescription.
Mom gave him the med, and he was totally horrified that the first doc gave me SOOOO many medication. in the end, he decided that I was most probably allergic to the painkillers and gave me another type.
When we asked what may had caused this, he told my mom it was most probably sprain toe joint but it could be caused by gout as well and she being the typical herself, latch onto the gout idea and didn't want to let go. They even discussed how did I get my urine acid. they finally came to the conclusion that it was hereditary. so for now, that means mummy dear is gonna force me to drink more of that green stuff that taste like green tea caused one of it's functions is suppose to be able to flush out urine acid. Is that true? I totally have no idea, but one of my family friend is taking it and claimed he hasn't have a gout attack since then.
Honestly, after taking the med, the pain in my leg subdue more than the first med. but that means the pain killer is way stronger. But now my toe could move!! at first when i put it on the ground, I can't bend it at all so it's sticking out literally like a sore thumb or rather TOE, but now i could flex it down and touch the ground. It makes walking easier, but it still hurts though not as much.
I asked for an MC so that tomorrow I could give it to Bill. I still want to avoid putting pressure on my leg so that means no heels for presentation tomorrow. it won't hurt to get an MC anyway. :D
So yeah. basically, it's on the healing process. FINALLY!! all thanks to the leng zai doc!! maybe it's just me thinking he's leng zai in a way. Mae, u saw him. what u think? lolz.

bad year for my leg
Yes. you read the title rite. It's a bad year specifically for my leg. seriously.
remember the 2nd last post that I made was about stepping on a rusty nail and getting a tetanus jab?
well, this post is also about my leg!!
The ball of my feet directly under the first toe on my left leg started aching when I walk yesterday. Since it was nothing new, I decided to ignore it. The pain will usually go away after I put weight off my leg. However, yesterday's ache was different. It lasted until now (yes, it's still aching) and it's painful to the point that I couldn't put weight on it which means walking in HELP and BV lopsided.
For the whole night, I couldn't sleep at all due to the constant sharp throbbing pain radiating from that particular spot. I withstood the pain until 6 am, when I literally burst out in tears. Went to talk to my mom about it, hearing her telling me that it's nothing really didn't do much for me.
Once the damp open its gates, I seriously couldn't stop crying. I think in just 3 hours, I cried like 4-5 times. the pain was becoming unbearable. Mom finally decided that it's not nothing and it's something, she asked my bro to take me to the doc. but I still had to wait till 11.30 for him to be free. so yes, for the whole night and morning, I was writhing in pain. The ball of my feet directly under the big toe is swollen, has intense pain AND I can't move my big toe at all. It's just there, the range of motion is totally gone!
At first, I thought that maybe I did something that caused a crack in the bone since the intensity is so high and I couldn't walk at all. But when I went to doctor, he poked and prodded and pronounced it inflammation although he changed his mind 2 times which is kinda scary. I was in the doc's office for like 2 minutes. Before my bro could park his car, I was done! He gave me 5 types of meds - 2 antibiotics, 3 for swelling and pain killers - I have to eat like 8 tablets of med in total twice a day!! scary!
It took the pain killer some time to take effect and the pain reduced to a slow throbbing. I have no idea if it's because of the pain killer or the ice pack that I dumped on it after reading on the internet that it helps with the pain. Whatever it is, I am glad that it's not as painful anymore.
But for the day, I am stuck on the bed, in my room since doc says no walking, no weight on my feet and no heels. which means, for tomorrow and thurs's presentation I will have to wear flip flops since that's the only shoe I can wear with the swelling. My other sandals are just too constraining.
I still have the consumer take home test to do but depending on my leg, I might skip out on this. After all, he say he will take only 4 out of 5 quizzes, so that give me the choice to skip if I want to. It largely depends on how everything is after my sleep - that if I can sleep with the pain (I only manage to get a total of 15 minutes shut eye since yesterday morning thanks to the leg)
well, isn't it a bad year for my leg? what you think? first stepping on a rusty screw and now this? Sigh... if I didn't take my tetanus jab and the screw jabbed my other leg (sounds wrong!), I would have thought that it was due to the screw. But since it's a totally different leg, I guess not. I suppose both of my legs are trying to get equal with the other? since one get hurt, the other must too? Sigh...
oh well, hopes it get better. and after doing some googling, I wonder if I am experiencing turf toe since the symptoms are exactly the same. Though turf toe is USUALLY caused by sports and I don't do sports whatsoever. but that doesn't mean I can't sprain my toe joints rite?

A Change Of Style
If I have to sum up today, I would say it's a very productive yet expensive day.
Went out with my mom today to 1Utama since Mae couldn't make it. it was sort of a preplanned kinda thing with my mom with me being undecided if I should go out with her, in fear for her nagging. In the end, we did go out and it was quite fun. :D
For a change, I shopped today. Not for books but for clothes. YES, liwen shopped for clothes today, and NO, the sky didn't change color or anything like that. Just thought that I should change my wardrobe a little. It is after all consist of nothing but t-shirts and jeans.
So yes, I went to 1Utama today, with an intention to shop for CLOTHES. by the end of the day, my mom and I, the two of us, spent a total of RM 700+ with my clothes costing RM 560. I think when my dad sees the bill, he will be like, OMG! can't let liwen get the habit of buying clothes - I think I will pauper my dad if I did get into the habit. haha...
I bought, 1 blouse from FYI, 1 blouse from Dorothy perkins, 2 Spag, 1 t-shirt/blouse and 1 shirt from Mark & Spencers. A total of RM 560 (or around there). But like my mom said, it's alright since I shop for clothes like once in a blue moon? She was quite happy - she must have been thinking that finally! her daughter is shopping for clothes - like what most girls do. haha...
we stopped by at the Korean food fair - yes Izzie, there's a Korean food fair in 1Utama with loads of Korean stuff (but no korean pretty boys for sale) and my mom bought like RM 60 plus worth of stuff. adding on with my Rm 90 plus from Craft Haven for my current addiction to arts and crafts, I think today is the day I spent the most money in a day! Thank god my clothes are paid by daddy (lucky me :D) else I won't even have the money to buy bread for the rest of the month. :D
So today is a very Expen$$$ive day. :D

Day 7 & Day 8
Day 7
Nothing much happened today. Left house at 8.30 so that I have parking. Arriving at 9 o'clock, I hanged around HELP and went for breakfast at McD and saw Andrew Lee there. For those of you who don't know who he is, he was my group member for Business Admin. We had a lot of fun working on that project.
While waiting for my class to start at 11, I worked on my English slides and changed my title to 'Say no to fur' instead of 'animal cruelty'. Went for marketing class and English after that. Heard my friend's presentation and went home with Michelle. She stay until the night, in between we ate battered fish and hash brown that was nicely sitting in my freezer untouched. Michelle went back at night and Aunt Grace bought me 2 'Char Siew Pau'. Thanks Aunt Grace!!!
Day 8
Left house at 8.30 again and arrived at 9. I went to the computer lab to help Hui Ying with her psychology review and went for CTS class. After CTS, I went to English for my presentation. I showed them to video that I had of sealing and as usual, it created lots of expression on the lec and friend's face. Some went, Oh God!! Shit!! F*uk! all sort of expression came out. But who can blame them? the video was so cute at the beginning and it gave a freaking depressing ending. Through out the whole presentation, the lecturer's face was filled with horror and I think that topic had really affected her because I gave quite detailed information on how they kill the animals for fur. She wasn't laughing at the end of the presentation, and some even said that she had tears in her eyes. Shit! I made a lecturer cry!!!
This was the video I showed in my power point presentation
Came home and cooked some nuggets for lunch then worked on my marketing slides. Yes! this whole week is like presentation week. Tues I had critical thinking, today I had English and tomorrow I am having Marketing presentation. Seriously, I think for this sem, I am immune to presentation. Am not nervous or anything like that anymore but I think it will come back next semester.
By the time I was done with my slides it was about 5, so I went for a nap. Slept until 7, baked a pizza and read a ebook before watching Amazing Race Asia 3. Was so excited as i watch the race. Unfortunately, the Malaysian team didn't win but I am really glad the couple team from Philippines I think didn't win. I was like 'YES!!' when the HK guys won. I support whatever group except the couple because I don't really like them for some reasons.
Am watching Chinese series now and my mom called back that they are already in the airport. they will be reaching home at about 1am, so I guess I will be sleeping in my room later and not my parents room. Finally, they are back. Time without them was quite nice but I think I enjoy spending time with them better.
I would grade today 80%!
And that is the end of week long marathon update!! Cheers!

Day 3 and Day 4
I was trying to do a week long marathon update kinda thing, but it obviously failed since I didn't update yesterday. It's not intentional though, I mean failing at the week long marathon update. It was kinda like an additional last minute thing that my couz came up with and it had spoil the whole marathon.
Day 3
It's the third day of home alone and I woke up really early. I had to go to Amber's hse to finish up my CTS project which is starting to get very annoying because of the heavy workload and the little marks. I mean, come on! 20% for 1 written report minimum words is 3000, 4 handmade posters cardboard size (no computer allowed), 2 different paterns of flyers (and each we will have to make 4), 2 other props which we choose bookmarks and notepads with with item we have to make 4 again AND presentation? WTH?? so many stuff for a measly 20%? it's so not worth it.
anyway, I woke up extra early that day and got ready around the house. Hui Ying messaged me and said that she might be arriving a little late while the other group member say he can't come at all because of a basketball competition. We were pissed off so we threaten that if he doesn't turn up this will go to the lec. After some time, he messaged me that he's in Genting (he's from there) and now he's taking the bus back. I was like yeah.. okay. you are having a basketball tournament in Genting? Anyhow, he turned up in the end.
We managed to finish everything on Sat and it was a huge relieve. We were late by 30 mins though. I was put incharged of touching up on my poster and adding stuff on Amber's while Hui Ying will do the bookmarks and Amber will finish up the flyers. Thank you God for good group members.
I headed to Bangsar right after that and it's safe to say that everyone was surprised that I turned up so early. They were scandalized that I was left alone at home for a week.
imagine this:
'where are your parents?'
'they are in Thailand'
'so you are alone with your brother?'
'Nope, my bro went with them'
'so you are alone at home? ALL ALONE??'
'errr.. yeah'
then the scene varies so would be...
'not afraid ar, staying alone at home?'
'erm, nope...'
others...
'you are really really alone at home?'
'yeah..'
'My Goodness! how could your parents leave you alone?'
*roll eyes*
you see, the moment they know I am alone at home, you could FEEL and HEAR the immediate censure in their voice. Sigh! I am 20 you know? So what if I came back from Australia? That doesn't mean I can't care for myself! I am not invalid you know! Just because I came back, it doesn't mean I go running to mommy everything I face a problem. But then, I guess after doing something like that, people are going think that you just can't stand on your two feet. they most probably think that since I can't survive alone in Aussie, I most probably can't survive here alone too.
In the end, I took the cowardly way out. Seriously. The whole evening and night I was hiding in my aunt room with my cousins. I could say that some people didn't even know that I was there that night!
Then my cousin suggested that I stay at her place for the night since her parents are in overseas too. it's fine for her to stay alone at home since she has 2 maids (one of them worked there so long she's almost like a housekeeper. She knows all of us) to keep her accompanied. In the end, me, one of my aunt and Melissa went to stay at her house. I went home earlier with Melissa to keep me accompanied to pack, then later my aunt came to pick me up to my cousin's house. We watched 'stardust' that night along with her house keeper and her indoor dog. I don't really know what breed the dog is but he's beautiful!!
after watching the movie, all of s retired to my cousin's room which is super big, about 4 times the size of my own bedroom, twice the size of my Aussie room. Usually, the dog sleeps in the same room as her acting like a guard dog but since we were there, they wanted the dog to sleep outside but in the end, we allowed the dog in. It was my first time sleeping in the same room with a dog!
If I had to grade that night, I would say it rates about 90% since I was too busy to think about anything.
Day 4
We were suppose to wake up at 9, but when the alarm clock rang, no one did - except me. I woke up, switched off the alarm that was located at the other end of the room where my cousin sleeps (imagine how loud the clock it and I really wonder how did they sleep through the racket!) anyway, since no one was awake yet except for the maids and the dog, i went back to bed and woke up at 10.30. went down for breakfast - Waffles! Yummy! and they we went for a swim!
I sux when it comes to water. Seriously! I can't swim, I can't even float without the help of the styrofoam board. it was really sad. haha.. it was like that until they found the styrofoam board and I finally managed to float! haha... we played monkey in the pool, and I was the monkey once and since I can't swim, it was practically walking in the pool. in the end they pitied me and changed the monkey so that i have the chance to play too :D b y the time we were done, I was really tan (my tan is fading though - no matter how tan I get, i will slowly become fair again). My cousins' tan were really obvious. She showed us and I can't stop laughing. imagine this, her 1 piece swimsuit has 2 openings at the back. when she's done swimming, her whole back is normal except for the 2 openings which had really turned into chocolate milk color. It was really dark!!!
had fried beehoon for lunch, then we watch 'spiderwick chronicles'. by the time we were done, it was raining heavily and we can't go back so we stayed there a little longer. we all fell asleep and finally left a about 5.30.
they came to my house, Melissa helped me with sprinking glitter on my posters and then we were for dinner after dropping her home. We wanted to eat 'lok lok' but somehow we can't find the fella so we were to centrepoint for Bak Kut Teh instead. My aunt bought some DVDs before we went for dinner. she dropped me home and the sudden silence in the house made me realized that I was alone again. And I became emo-fied. You all know what happens when I became emo-fied. Go figure!
I watched TV for a while and messaged SS to cheer myself up. Came across this interesting programme on National Geographic called 'human footsteps' I think. It has statistics of some really weird stuff. do you know that on average, we shit 3 tonnes of shit in our lifetime? and we vomit 5 bucketfulls of vomit in ourlife time? We take about 7000+ baths and eat 10000+ carrots and 3000+ of apples in our lifetime. How cool is that?! haha.... it's scary though, seeing some of the numbers. they have really weird things on it and it's interesting.
called SS and chat with her while watching 'Human Footsteps'. then i watched 'Nanny's diaries' and 'Meet the Robinson'. That's how bored I was. Oh yeah, I was also waiting for the washing machine to finish my laundry so I can dry them indoors and they would be ready tomorrow afternoon before I go to class. But somehow, smart little me thought that the the laundry was done when in reality it wasn't. I switched it off THEN realized that it's still washing. Since I couldn't open the cover to unload it OR continue from where I stopped, I started again! in the end I hang my clothes indoors at 11 something. Kinda sad huh?
Anyway... I am having a headache and I wanna go to bed. So, will update day 5 soon! Bye!
Day 3
It's the third day of home alone and I woke up really early.
Day 2
Today I went out with my bunch of friends to Sunway Pyramid. At first, I was kinda afraid to drive there, but in the end I did with directions from another friend. Went and watched Madagascar 2 and it was really nice and really funny. Those who are planning to go and watch, GO!! it's really good!
We spent some time in the arcade and I was totally fascinated by the way one of my friend's dance. It was like WOW!! He's really good, especially on this machine called the 'para para' machine. Had Nasi Lemak for lunch. The sauce that came along with the Chicken Rendang was so watery that it's like EWWW, but it taste kinda nice anyway, so it doesn't matter. I also had waffles with chocolate and peanut butter. It taste kinda nice. I always liked the combination of peanut butter and chocolate. Don't ask me why, cause i myself also don't know why i like it.
We planned to go ice-skating, bowling and pool but in the end we didn't do all 3. the pool place environment was horrible. it was dark, smoky and foul smelling like what most pool/snooker centers are so in the end we bailed out from the plan. The rest wanted to play bowling and i didn't join in cause i was feeling kinda moody and emo-fied at that very moment. In the end they didn't play anyway cos the lady told them that the lanes are full although it looks really empty. Maybe they are having some sort of competition later or something like that. the plan for ice-skating was not favored by everyone so that's automatically out. In the end, we played archery!
it's super cool! I am definately going back there to play. Of course, most of my aim went off and I was NOT hitting the bulleyes most of the time but I had fun anyway. By the time we were done, I was almost back to old self again. No more moody and emo Li Wen anymore. I am soooo gonna play archery again. Love it. It acts like a stress reliever for most of us i guess. Haha, we were jokingly saying that we should imagine our target are our lecturers. I said, i was going to imagine it as my CTS paper and that was the only time i got the closest to the center of the bulleyes.
In sunway pyramid, there's this piano guy that comes and play the piano. So, a few of them decided to have a free sing in front of everyone. It was really amusing. They were all trying to find songs that all of them knew and they really sang some songs from Mamamia to other songs that I can't remember the name. They even had a song dedication from a guy to his girlfriend. It was so entertaining. I got some videos of them and one day I am going to post them up on Facebook! but for now, i can't cos my lappie doesn't want to read my memory card. either my memory card have a problem or it's just my laptop.
Had dinner in a Vietnam restaurant and we wanted to go for deserts but we can't find any. I was stoning again by then cos i had a headache. I didn't take dinner so I was sort of closing my eyes for a few seconds to give them a rest. since we can't find any deserts, we just went home. Only Mae and I was in the car and the both of us doesn't know the way back! somehow, the directions that my friend gave me could not put into use. She said something about a roundabout and we didn't even come across one throughout the whole journey. Maybe we came out at a different exit. But in the end, we managed to reach home safely without getting lost. We managed to do that by following signboards and a little of Mae's memory and direction.
Overall, if I had to grade today, I would say it's about 80%? I deducted 20% cos i was stoning at some point.
I really had fun today. Thanks guys!!

Day 1
To me, today was a really long day. I have this feeling that says "Finally, it's night! 1 day down and 7 days to go!" Seriously. It was a very long day without anything to keep myself occupied except small chores that I actually had to drag out. Today, I created a new record. Eating 8 pieces nuggets for dinner in 1 hour. Heck, usually it would take me 10 minutes? But somehow, today's time seem to pass really really slow that I wanted to drag out simple stuff so it actually felt like i was doing something. Kinda sad rite?
Anyway, for someone who doesn't like to mix in a big crowd much, I realized that somehow solitude doesn't do for me as well. Today, the house felt so quiet, so WEIRD. I guess a sudden chance in noise volume in the house is taking a toll on me. After all, on usual days the TV would be blaring as if we were deaf, my brother's merciless teasing and both my mom and my voice's shouting over levels of the house. Imagine this, she's in the kitchen, I am in my room and we can have a conversation. That's how noisy it is. But now, it's so quiet, so silent, so WEIRD!!
So, this is how i spend my day. Came back from HELP at about 2. Played some computer games then went tuition at 3.30 pm. Class ended at 4.30, with Melissa's help, I starting doing my bookmarks for Critical Thinking Assessment. Somehow, it doesn't turn out as nice as the one in the book. Oh well... just have to see what the design team that only consist of A design director says. Maybe she can do something to salvage my pitiful handiwork. Melissa went home at 6, took out my food from the freezer to defrost and went back doing my bookmarks. Came down at 7, cooked my 8 pieces of nuggets, channel surf until 9 and watched Amazing Race Asia. Watched TV until 10.30, and came online. So yeah, that's how I spend my pathetic day.
Today is soooooo boring! should have spent some time with Pei Ling in the HELP library (she goes to the HELP library although she's no longer a student there) but I was too lazy to take the bus there. Sides, i left my student ID at home and now without it, you can't take the bus there. Apparently, there's too many people who are not from HELP taking free rides.
Oh God! today's day was so boring, I can't help but wish that a week had passed so that the house could be noisy again. It's almost as if the situation here is almost similar with what had happened in KL except I am all alone at home here. The days are long, the nights are long and it really felt like the week is not going to end!! I have no chinese series to watch (unless I watch it online but it's no fun doing that), no game to play (finish playing tradewinds caravans in 2 days) and loads of presentation slides to do but I can't find the mood to finish it.
Hopefully, tomorrow will be better. After all, I am going out with my friends to Sunway Pyramid tomorrow. And I might be driving there. Oh no! I most probably get lost on the way there.Sigh... but at least I am spending some time with my friends instead of staying at home doing nothing. Then, Saturday, I will be going to Amber (she's one of my foundation friend, very reliable when doing assignment which is terrific!) house to finish off our 4 posters and 2 flyers just in time for tuesday's presentation.
As for Sunday, I don't know what am I going to do yet. either spending time with my aunt (if she takes pity on me being all alone at home) or spending time all alone at home again. Monday I am soooo gonna sleep in and catch on my sleep since class starts on 3.30, then maybe go for dinner with Siew See? Tuesday I might most probably do a little cooking thing with Isabel and Melissa, don't know who else can make it for now (haven't ask anyone yet except the both of them :) ) As for Wed, I suppose I would be staying at home again and thurs, another day at home? then Fri the house would be noisy again!!
Yeah, yeah, some of you might be wondering why I didn't go along with them, but then, if you guys remember I am suppose to be in Australia?? who would have thought that I would come back? That's why the initial plan, i wasn't included :( then when I came back, it turned out that this/next week is presentation week so unless I want to fail my subject, i can't go with them. Oh well... now that they are planning to go to Macau next sept and I don't know if i could go or not. I hope I could Sept.... hmm, that's not the end of sem yet rite? haha....
I suppose if I have to rate today's day, I suppose I would give it 50%? And I am being generous.
