The second last day of the year is indeed not a very good day for me.
Today I went out with my cousins to watch Avatar 3D (yes, my second time watching Avatar, though the first time is not 3D. I have a feeling that my 3rd time is coming up with my parents). Unfortunately for me, I did not spot any differences whatsoever in viewing, imaging, OR the level of excitement. It felt like I paid Rm 18 just to watch a 2D show. The differences between 2D and 3D is not much, so I think that it's not really worth watching it in 3D. I should have expected it, but for some reasons, even after some disappointing effects from 3D movies, the interest to watch it is still there!
After that, we went ahead and watch Alvin and the Chipmunks 2. I agree with Mae that the first version is nicer. After all, what are the odds of a superstar getting his head dunked in the toilet???!! and that was one of the scenes in there. I mean, come on!! what are the chances?? though I really like the Chipettes. They are CUTE!! hehe....
somewhere through out Avatar, I realized that my phone dropped out from my pocket. Gave me a huge scare and I finally found it stuck in between the handrest. I was glad that I found it and left it at that. BUT guess what?? while I was searching for my phone, my carkeys dropped too and I had no idea until I wanted to leave the mall.
Since I was suppose to drop my cousins off, latest by 6.30 and it was already 6.00 when I wanted to leave, I panicked. Really panicked. I called my mom, called my bro, got a trashing on the phone and he finally agreed to bring the spare key like 45 mins later. but I just dont have the time. So I did what my cousin suggested.
Go and ask if GSC found my keys.
and lo and behold! they did! Thank GOD! though the attached keychain from LV was missing. I could barely recognise the key without the keychain.
Then it was dropping my cousins home. I only have 20 mins and the journey would usually take max 10 minutes but since it wasn't my day, there was a traffic jam!! I arrived at their place 10 minutes late from their 'curfew' and I hope they didn't get grounded or anything since it's my fault.
Took my car for a wash with Mel, then headed out for dinner. Dinner was great. However, by the end of the dinner, both of us needed the toilet badly and since we didn't want to stink up the place, we thought of heading home since it's 3 min drive. But once again we were stuck in traffic JAM. Imagine this, 2 toilet desperate gals stuck in a traffic jam makes the car ride a mouthful car ride with all the expletive words.
so yeah, overall, the day is not a very fine one. I feel like sleeping, but I still have chores to do. ZZZzz not to mention a bath which will definately keep me awake for hours still.
signing off,
wen
P/S: Happy new year ppl!!!!

Parking @ HELP
Parking @ HELP is a very big problem. For those of you who are studying in HELP and is fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to drive would surely agree with me that parking in HELP is horrible.
For the first time, someone blocked my car. The guy was smart enough to leave his number, but he had the guts to come 40 minutes AFTER I called him. At first, I was okay with the fact that his car was blocking mine. After all, parking is a problem for all of us so I guess when we are desperate enough, we double park. FINE.
What I can't stand is that he took 40 min to come from his class. If his class is from KPD E, 40 minutes is way more than enough time for him to come to main block, move his car, go ta pau from McD and go back to KPD okay? Heck, we can even count the time it takes him to walk there and back. Sheesh!
yeah, and guess wat. He didn't even apologize. no sorry, nothing. he just silently got into the car and drove off. If I wasn't keeping an eye on his car, I won't even realize that he moved. At least, come on la. You make me wait 40 minutes and you didn't even say sorry? sheesh!
in the end, it took me another 20 min to leave the parking lot because of the horrible traffic. Sigh... ppl in HELP need to learn more manners - present readers excluded. :D haha...
On an unrelated note, my cousin's wife in UK had given birth to a baby gal this morning. the baby was only 7 months only when she was came to this world, which my mom commented that it's similar to me. Saw the video of the baby and I have to say, she have quite a powerful lungs. Scare me when she cried out just now. haha...
they named her Abigail. Nice name...
hmmm... you know, with so many of us in the family, we are running out of nice English names soon enough. at least the names that I like la. Abigail. Ryan. Leo. hmmm... maybe they will be a recycling of names in the family soon enough. I can imagine it during CNY.
Aunt: Ryan 1 come take ang pow.
then...
Aunt: Ryan 2, here's your ang pow.
Okay.... that's just weird. But really, all the nice names are going away... haha... when it's our turn to name kids in the future, it's definately going to be a real headache! not unless we all decide to give them chinese names only. then we can have a lot of variation. just like the boys in the family now. we have a lot of Lim Chin (fill in the blank with your fav chinese word). MOST of them have the word 'Chin' in it. :D
I guess that's all for now,

Emotions and thoughts again
It seems that after so many months I still can't get over it. To some people, you guys might think, what is the big deal?? isn't 6 months more than enough for me to get over it? well, it seems that it's not enough. there are times that I wonder if I will EVER get over the whole issue. Just when I thought 'Yes, I am over it', BANG, the truth came out and I am back to where I started.
I have heard countless of times where people would describe me as cheerful, happy go lucky or even as someone who has no worries and there are times that I really believe what they say. But in many ways, the happy face that I put on sometimes is just a facade. I can smile when I feel like crying, I can smile when I am feeling very down and I can smile when I am feeling very irritated and feel like killing you. In the beginning, that was the way I am around my family and family friends, and I think up till now, the facade is still up at certain times. Not many people could see through what I am thinking at times like this but they are exceptional people that could. they are my friends - expecially Mae and Siew See. They understand my mood, they understand my emotions and they could see through the facade that I put on. I don't mind them knowing how I really feel but not other people, maybe because they are so close to me, that I just can't imagine how boring life would be without them. They are the one that I turn to when I am trouble, they are among the few that are privilaged to see my tears. Even my parents don't get to see me crying.
Some of you may wonder, why, why keep such tight reins on my emotions? why not let them flow? why not just let them be? I myself too do not know the answer. Maybe it's because I view crying as a weak thing and I don't want to be weak in front of people. Someone once told me, that it's alright for me to cry, it's alright for the tears to flow, and yet, up till now I feel embarassed to let people see me cry.
What had happened earlier once again told me how much the whole 'coming back' issue bothers me especially when it comes to my family. and once again, it was my family that dealt that unwanted and unwarranted blow. I don't usually take people's words to heart but somehow, this whole issue bugs me. somehow, it is only this issue that can deal such a blow to my self confidences and emotions. If it's any other issue, I would just ignore you and act as if you are just sprouting real crap.
So, what had happened earlier that brought about this post? Most of you are definately aware of my intense fear of lizards, though it subside a little in the past few years. I avoid them as much as I could and it bothers me to actually have a lizard in the same room. That's why Mae always warn me when there's one nearby. Then I can actually avoid it. Really appreciate it.
Imagine this. I was helping my family to take down the lanterns for CNY and HE was sitting in front of me blocking the path out. A lizard fell on my hand, being stuck there for about 5 seconds before it registered into my mind that a freaking LIZARD was on my hand. Acting on pure fear, I screamed, fling and shook my hand as hard as I could, somehow hoping that the lizard would hit the wall and DIE. But like all lizards do, they DON'T. DAMN!!
somehow, unable to run away, I just stood there, screaming, flinging my hand, and giving HIM a scare. HE didn't move away so I could make a run for it, but rather he said stuff that I rather not repeat here. Nonetheless, I ignored it and quickly walked into the house to get away from that lizard. Unfortunately, I wasn't fast enough. I heard what HE told my mom. I quote them...
"what the hell she was doing, screaming like that? gave me a scare."
"you should know that she was afraid of lizards. You were sitting there, she can't move so she can't run away, can she?"
" she's afraid of a freaking lizard. you guys spoilt her so much that's why she's afraid of lizard and now she's CAN'T GROW UP. that's why she came back from Australia. She's WEAK."
Please can someone tell me the connection between coming back from Aussie and being afraid of lizards? Would staying in Australia actually cure this fear of mine? I really don't think so. So why connect these two together? I just don't understand....
When I heard that, how i wish that I didn't hear it. Because it was then that he showed me how HE had viewed me, even though he comes running to me when he face a problem or needed an opinion. This was not the first time he said that and I doubt it would be the last.
the first few time he said that, I told myself, he didn't understood what his words can do to me. If you guys actually read this blog, you would find that in the previous post, I wrote about how I view HIM (if you did, you will know who I am talking about) but after actually seeing what his words can do to me (I actually cried and he saw once) I thought that he would stop. But I guess I was wrong.
He either didn't care how I feel at all, or he just put put it at the back of his mind, sprouting words like this without even thinking how it would affect me.
Don't worry people... I will get over this soon enough. I suppose a few battles on Rock legends, a few intense button pressing on the PSP imagining that he's the enemy and a good night sleep would bring back the previous me. :D

Mayhem!!
Hey! happy new year to everyone!! it's year 2009! And I hope that everyone's 2009 will be better than 2008. Some of us really need that.
Anyway, for the new year celebration, I went to my uncle's hse in Bukit Damansara to celebrate the coming year with my family. We were there from 7 pm plus and we laughed, joked, ate and drank until the new year came. Then we continue drinking. :D
Just like every year in my life, we had poppers and noise makers to play with the moment it strikes 12. We blew the noisemakers next to each other ears and as the year go by, I swear, we become more deaf. We had 2 babies with us this year, and surprisingly, the babies were perfectly calm for the chaos that lasted about 20 minutes.
I present to you...
My family's new year celebration.
Note: at about 1 minute plus, the camera goes shaky is because I was ambushed by my cousins.
Ben called back from UK to wish us happy new year and I managed to chat with him for a moment. I drank only 3 cups of alcohol since I started drinking quite late compared with the boys.

Overall, just like every year, I enjoyed myself immensely. A great big thanks to my uncle and cousins that had made this yearly event so successful!
May everyone have a great year ahead of them!!
