Day 5 & Day 6

Day 5
Let's see, one again, my week long marathon was disrupted. Hehe, this time, I had forgotten to update since I was too busy playing com games while being nervous about Critical Thinking presentation AND not doing anything about it.

Let's see...
I woke up about 12.30 to get ready to go to HELP since I promised my friend that I would be there earlier to help her with her speech for Critical Thinking. For the first time, I actually managed to park at the first row of HELP's parking space. Usually, my car would be at the very end of the parking space which really sux because by the end of the day, I would have forgotten the exact location of my car.

In HELP, I helped my friend with her speech and help cut double-sided tape for our CTS bookmark. then, we went to CTS class to listen to other group's presentation. It was kind of scary because the lecturers were banging the groups like crazy.

After CTS class, I went to Siew See's house to hang out for a while before heading off to Bangsar Village 2 for Sakae Sushi. In her house, I passed to her some e-books and pictures that I have. In BV 2, I bought 4 new storybooks using my credit card. Haha, Siew See was wondering if my dad would be angry if I spend so much money on books, but then, I guess he won't because I can say that I am bored and had nothing to do at home. Sides, he knew I love reading and could never resist a new book :D

Went home that night, prepared my CTS speech, played some games and went to bed. If I have to grade the day, it would be 80%?

Day 6
Woke up at 7.50am today because i had to be in HELP early once more for my CTS presentation. Today's the day!! surprisingly, I don't feel panic at all and the speech which I did not really memorized was already safely etched in my brain.

I promised Hui Ying that I would be there at 8.45 but because of traffic jam, I arrived there at 9 instead. Meet up and shorten her speech for her then Jason joined us. After seeing the both of them going bonkers trying to memorize their script, somehow their nervousness rubbed onto me and I started feeling nervous too! Amber joined us not long after that, and after finish touching up our bookmark, we left for class.

Today, there are 5 CTS groups from different tutorials that will be presenting. In my tutorial group, we are the only group presentating today. We somehow managed to secure a place to put up our posters and such but it turned up that the place we choose made us the last group to present. It was daunting, seeing how the teachers shoot the other groups idea down.

For example, before the first member of the first group could present, the lecturer asked another person who was in charged of a total different part of the presentation to explain. It was scary! seeing the guy trying to explain. Naturally, this scared my group members again and I had to brief them on every poster so that they at least knew what it was about.

The forth group, the group before mine was the worst. The lecturers shoot down their ideas like crazy. Since we are required to do handiwork for all our props, flyers and posters, the first thing the lecturer said was 'you poster is UGLY!' when she saw their poster. It was like OMG! and she shot their idea down until they could not answer her.

Then, it was my group. Jason was so scared that he forgotten his beginning, so he just jump straight to the points. I was okay, since I knew what I was talking about. Amber just described her points and Hui Ying was also very scared that she forgotten her speech. We didn't really get loads of questions, I think it's because we are the last group and the lecturers are running out of time. I think it's also because the topic is insanity defense and they might not have much idea on it since it's about LAW.

When we sent our stuff to the staff room, our lecturer told us that we did a good job. I was so happy! she said that our presentation is good and that our props are nice too! so yeah, I was really happy with the results.

Went to KFC for lunch, the went to Marketing and study skills class. turned out that I got 8/10% for marketing report and 10/15% for study skills report. For the marketing report, he told us that the other group did better, so does it mean that they got full marks? I donno, but i am quite satisfied with ours. Maybe our way of presenting the paper is different.

After class, Izzie, Mae and me went to pick Melissa up before heading to Centrepoint to buy food for our cook out. We cooked spagetti and it was quite nice, since it was the first time we actually cooked something together. :D haha... they left some leftovers for me, so I guess I will take that for dinner tomorrow.

Just came back from sending them home and am really tired. So i guess I will be going to bed soon. if I have to grade today, it would be 100%!! Full marks!! I guess I am getting use to the idea of an empty house. will post up pictures of my posters later. BYE!
